Federal Student Aid Programs
Federal student aid is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and processed through Indiana Tech. Funds are issued as either grants (which never need to be repaid), student loans (which require repayment after graduation), or self-help programs (like work study).
In order to qualify for any federal student aid funds, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year. Although it is recommended that you complete your FAFSA online by April 15 each year in order to qualify for maximum aid, applications are accepted year round. Make sure Indiana Tech receives your FAFSA by entering our federal school code, 001805, when completing your application.
Students who submit a FAFSA qualify for federal student aid regardless of their income. Your eligibility for specific federal student aid funds varies upon your enrollment. Please see our Federal Grants, Federal Student Loans, and Federal Work Study pages for more information, including enrollment eligibility, on each specific type of funding.
