Federal Work Study

The Federal Work Study program allows students to develop valuable workplace experience and earn money toward educational expenses during the academic year. Eligible students who participate may find employment on campus in one of Indiana Tech’s offices or off campus through our employment partners.

To qualify for the Federal Work Study program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a completed FAFSA on file that indicates your interest in work study.
  • Demonstrate financial need, as determine on your FAFSA.
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Once you have been notified that you are receiving Federal Work Study funds, and if you have interest, visit Human Resource’s page here.

If you find a position that prefers Work Study, but were not awarded the funding, please stop by Student Financial Services to check on your eligibility.

If you will not be utilizing your Work Study funding through employment at Tech, please decline it on your award portal at my.indianatech.edu so we can more easily assist other students.

Please understand that Federal Work Study is a limited fund.  If you are awarded the funding, but do not use it, we will cancel your award to allow other students the same opportunity.
