Scholarship

The STEAM Academy at Indiana Tech provides scholarships to reduce camp and program fees for families and individuals that request assistance and qualify. We are thankful for the support from Lily Endowment Inc. and General Motors, which allows us to cover the costs of the program fees by up to 50%. Approved scholarship recipients will be required to pay the remaining balance.

Please apply for your scholarship early—Because scholarship funding is limited, we ask that applicants complete the process as soon as possible. Approval can take up to three (3) weeks from the application’s completion date. Recipients will be notified as soon as they are approved, but please note that scholarships may NOT be applied retroactively to camps for which the child has registered and attended.

How to Apply

1. Complete the online scholarship application form below.
   • Steam Academy Scholarship Application
2. Provide verification documentation of participation in one of the following programs. This information will be submitted via the online scholarship application form:
   • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — Provide current Food Stamps/EBT award letter
   • Family Independence (FI) — Provide current TANF verification letterSocial
   • Security Income (SSI) — Provide current approval letter
   • National School Lunch Program (NSLP) — Provide current Free & Reduced Lunch verification letter from the school district
   • Textbook/Technology Assistance — Provide current Textbook/Technology assistance verification letter from the school district
   • Housing Assistance Program — Provide current approval letter
   • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) — Provide current approval letter
   • Foster Care — Provide current DSS placement contract
   • Medicaid — Provide current verification letter

The information you provide on this form will be treated as confidential and used only to determine and verify scholarship eligibility.

After You Apply

You will be notified by email if you are awarded a scholarship. The STEAM Academy at Indiana Tech does not offer full scholarships; you will be asked to contribute a portion of the camp or program fee. Your scholarship does not automatically reserve your spot in any camp or program. Your spot will be reserved if selected through the lottery/registration process and discounted payment has been received.  STEAM Academy at Indiana Tech staff will email instructions on submitting payment with your discounted price.
