To show generosity

People donate to Indiana Tech for many reasons: to express thanks to former faculty who served as mentors for them, to give back to the institution that gave them the tools they needed to start their journey in life, to be part of something bigger than themselves, or to gain charitable tax benefits—just to name a few. No matter the reason, at the core of each donation is the desire to make a positive impact and provide Indiana Tech with the means to change lives, communities, and how the world is shaped every day.

To help students

More than 90% of the students who attend Indiana Tech receive some type of financial aid. For many, it is this aid that allows them to earn their degree from this great university. One of the best forms of financial aid is scholarships. Most of the endowed scholarships available were made possible through the generosity of alumni and friends of Indiana Tech. Students also benefit from other types of donations that support new facilities, updated equipment, and additional degree offerings.

To leave a legacy

Whether it is through an endowed scholarship, an estate gift, or by having your name on a room or building, making a generous gift to Indiana Tech can be a way for your name to live on in perpetuity. It is a great example for current students as well as for others in your family. A significant gift can demonstrate the importance of philanthropy as well as express how much Indiana Tech has meant to you.

To earn an Indiana state tax credit

In addition to receiving federal tax savings, residents of Indiana have the added bonus of being able to receive a tax credit for their gifts to Indiana Tech. Indiana offers a special tax credit to taxpayers who support accredited Indiana colleges and universities. When you make a gift to Indiana Tech, 50% of the amount of your gift comes back to you in the form of savings on your Indiana state income tax, up to a maximum savings of $200 for couples and $100 for singles.
