I started my career here at Indiana Tech in 2014. I have a Bachelor’s Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a Master’s in Management from Indiana Tech. I love working with students and helping them learn how to break down barriers and find tools to help them achieve their goals in education and life. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, crafting and being outdoors.

I started my professional journey with Indiana Tech in 2016, where I earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees in psychology. I enjoy getting to know my students and love encouraging them to take ownership of their educational and professional opportunities. I believe a balanced life is essential to success, and I am passionate about helping students learn how to balance their lives and create a personalized rhythm to stay on track. College is a time to define yourself, and I love empowering students to explore, define, and utilize their strengths as they navigate college. In my free time, I like to travel, spend time outdoors, read, and enjoy quality time with my family and friends. I look forward to meeting with you!

I’ve been at Indiana Tech since January 2021. Coming to Indiana Tech was a homecoming for me as I’m originally from the Northern Indiana area. I have a bachelor’s degree in history from Indiana University South Bend and a master’s degree in history from Ball State University. I spent the past four years working in student success in college athletics at the University of Memphis and Illinois State University. I enjoy helping students learn how to find tools and processes that work for them, as well as helping them advocate for themselves.

In my free time, I like spending time with my family and friends, knitting and crocheting, reading, cooking, learning, traveling and working on my life goal of petting all of the dogs.

I’ve been at Indiana Tech since March of 2020. I originally started in the Registrar’s Office before making the jump to the Office of Student Success as a Student Success Advisor for the Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences in November of 2021.  I have an associate degree in criminal justice from Ivy Tech and a bachelor’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University. I enjoy meeting with students and helping them achieve their goals and supporting them along the way. In my free time, you can find me hiking with my three dogs or enjoying a trail ride with my horse, Blaze. I look forward to meeting with you!

My journey with Indiana Tech began 10 years ago when I first enrolled as a CPS Student. As a single parent working full time with two children, I graduated from Indiana Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. My next goal is to earn my Master’s degree.  I am a strong believer that anything is possible, and that it is never too late to achieve your goals. My role as an Online Student Success Adviser is to help students succeed in their courses. I am here to encourage, motivate and work with students to develop a strategy for their academic success.

My name is Jenita Hurst and I am originally from Indiana. I have a background in teaching high school juniors and seniors. I have always had a desire to work in higher education. My role as an online adviser is to connect with any student I meet by starting where they are. I am a big advocate on self-awareness and self-care. My advising truths I aspire to live by are being honest and genuine. I would not ever tell a student something I would not do myself. I strive to live a balanced life and I encourage my students too, also. I look forward to connecting with you.

My adventure with Indiana Tech started back in 2006 when I joined the Warrior Pep Band while attending high school in Fort Wayne. These fond memories are what led me to a career with Indiana Tech in 2016. I briefly explored another opportunity during 2021 but returned to Indiana Tech in 2022. Indiana Tech has always been a special place for me, and I hope to help make it feel the same for our students. I enjoy collaborating with students while they learn to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom. I have a B.S in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. In my free time, I love spending time with my wife and dog, going to movies, reading, bowling, and playing Pokémon. I look forward to meeting with you.
