Indiana Tech’s STEAM Academy youth program will launch its Career Explorer Club for middle school boys and girls on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The meeting will be held in the Seitz Conference Center inside Andorfer Commons on the Indiana Tech campus. This first meeting is free; there will be a nominal fee to be determined for future meetings.

The Career Explorer Club is an opportunity for kids to explore careers and discover possibilities for their future in STEAM fields. They will participate in hands-on activities and receive mentorship from highly qualified university faculty, all in a safe and professional learning environment. It is a collaboration between Indiana Tech and the Boy Scouts of America.

Indiana Tech’s STEAM Academy is a new creation, thanks to a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. It is the university’s home for expanded and new camp offerings for K-12 students and a variety of after-school programs. The STEAM Academy’s signature programs are popular summer camps that have introduced hundreds of middle school and high school students to the exciting world of engineering, computer science and technology.
