Indiana Tech athletes shone brightly in the national spotlight over the weekend
March 4, 2019Indiana Tech’s athletic program was represented well on the national stage over the weekend in National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) championship competitions.
At Brookings, South Dakota, the men’s track and field team on its fifth indoor championship title in six years, edging second-place Wayland Baptist University by two points. Kejavon Moore earned a national championship in the 60 meters. Learn more about the men’s meet here.
The women’s team finished third in its meet, but two Warrior athletes won national titles. Leondra Correia won the 60-meter hurdles and Destiny Copeland won the long jump. Learn more about the women’s meet here.
At Des Moines, Iowa, Erique Early and Sawyer Miller won national titles in their weight classes to lead the Warriors wrestling team to a fourth-place finish. Learn more about the national wrestling tournament here.
