During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indiana Tech will operate events in accordance with the most current campus, city, county, state and federal policies and mandates. Indiana Tech staff will share specific processes and procedures to all groups and attendees 48 to 72 hours prior to each event.
Blackout dates are dates reserved to accommodate the needs of our students, staff and faculty. During these dates, we host annual events and activities for campus and have reserved all of our facilities for their use.
University Holidays
On dates designated as university holidays, neither staff nor faculty will be on campus. As such, no event, function or activity will be scheduled, with the exception of religious services or university-sanctioned athletic contests. Below are Indiana Tech’s university holidays:
- New Year’s Day (as well as the day after depending on the day it falls)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving (including the Wednesday before and Friday after)
- Christmas (as well as the day before or day after depending on the day it falls)
- New Year’s Eve
University Events
The University designates full priority to these events during the year and restricts all other events or functions from occurring during these events due to size, scope and logistical complexity. These are the university’s annual events:
- Welcome Week/Student Move In
- New Student Orientation
- Ph.D. Immersion Weekends
- Homecoming
- Commencement
Each space is charged at an hourly rate and with the guest’s needs and capabilities in mind. Please contact us for a specialized quote.
Yes, we do offer a 50% discount when provided with proper documentation.
Yes, there is a non-refundable deposit of $50 to secure your reservation.
Yes, you are permitted to have alcohol served at your event. However, you are required to use one of our preferred vendors. If you plan to serve alcohol at your event, you must follow all university alcohol policies, as well as all federal, state and local laws.
No, we do require that you use our in-house catering service, Parkhurst Dining with the only exception being the recreation center where carry-in is allowed. The menu can be viewed HERE.
