High School STEM Camp
A fun, hands-on experience with engineering, science, biology and technology for high school students. This week-long program is designed to introduce high school students to engineering and computer sciences. Students will have the opportunity to work alongside engineering professors and learn about both areas in a single week. Cost includes all project materials, breakfast and lunch on campus, snacks, an adult sized t-shirt and all camp activities.
NEW! AFA CyberPatriots Camp
Indiana Tech’s cybersecurity degree program is partnering with the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot program to hold its first-ever summer camp for high school students.
Through in-depth teaching, coupled with hands-on application, students will be immersed in a cyberspace experience designed to introduce them to exciting career opportunities in the field of cybersecurity. Throughout the week, they will train on operations which will culminate on Friday when they protect and defend their network and systems during a simulated cyber event. Cost includes all project materials, lunch on campus and an adult sized t-shirt.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for cybersecurity professionals will grow 31% between 2019 and 2029. Additionally, the median 2019 pay for those individuals is forecasted to be just under $100,000.
Indiana Tech is preparing graduates for this burgeoning field. Over the past two years, the university has made several enhancements to its cybersecurity program—enhancements that will continue over the next three years as renovations to the Zollner Engineering Center will create robust, dedicated learning resources for our cybersecurity students.
