The photography of Palermo Galindo on exhibit in the D’Agostino Gallery
June 20, 2016The current exhibit in Indiana Tech’s Franco D’Agostino Art Gallery is comprised of photography from Palermo Galindo.
Mr. Galindo is the president of the Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is the hispanic and immigrant liaison for the City of Fort Wayne. His exhibit, known as “My Yours Ours,” is an exploration of the disparity of race perceptions and race relations through current national events that have touched our local community. Through his work, Galindo strives to identify foresight in the symbiotic link of the self (MY) and the perceived societal view of an individual (YOURS), which leads to the communal perception (OURS), whereby the actions of all individuals affect everyone through movement awareness, thought, words, stance and solidarity.
All are welcome to view Mr. Galindo’s work from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. in the D’Agostino Art Gallery, which is located in Indiana Tech’s Academic Center. “My Yours Ours” will be on display in the D’Agostino Art Gallery through Labor Day.
