Motor Vehicle Registration and Regulations
Indiana Tech has parking regulations during the traditional academic year designating specific lots in which students may park their vehicles depending on their residential status. Parking regulations will be enforced from 6 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday during the traditional day student academic sessions in all parking areas. All vehicles that violate the policy are subject to being cited and/or towed.
All students and employees are required to register their vehicles online, for each vehicle they intend to drive. Additional parking information is available here.
At no time should students or employees park in reserved spaces without the proper approval. Approval is given by the departments that oversee the use of the reserved spaces.
Violations of the parking regulations will result in vehicles being cited. Citations range from a $10 to $50 charge, based on violation. Citations must be paid or appealed within 30 days. Failure to pay within the time frame will result in a late fee. Any unpaid citations, which are 30 days past due or are still unpaid at the end of the academic year will be charged to your Indiana Tech account.
If a vehicle receives greater than three citations, the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense, and may be subject to the cancellation of the ability to park on campus
Instructions for paying or disputing are detailed on the back of the citation; both must be done online prior to the due date listed on the citation. Any hostility directed towards Parking Control Officers, while enforcing the parking policy, may result in added disciplinary sanctions.
