Programs like the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the DSST give you the chance to prove your proficiency in general education areas like introductory math, writing, business, and science. These exams are available for just a fraction of the cost of a college course, and if you’re in the military, you may be able to take the exam for free. On the day of your test, be sure to have a school ID or other form of Identification.
CLEP and DSST exams cost $100.00 per test and you can pay online via debit card or credit card on the day of registration. The accepted minimum score for CLEP and DSST exams is 50.

Portfolio Review Process
Prior learning includes any college-level learning that a student has acquired outside of a traditional classroom setting. Indiana Tech believes that what a student knows is more important than how this knowledge was learned and therefore will evaluate knowledge and skills gained through non-classroom experiences for college credit. This evaluation process is known by many names, including prior learning assessment, credit for prior learning, or even experiential learning. Students who have these experiences and want to earn academic credit, by submitting a portfolio, can gain further information by contacting their admissions representative or the Registrar’s Office.
